Buckeye Men’s Wrestling turned in a dominant showing at the CWC duals on Friday at North Olmsted High School, defeating North Olmsted 51-24 and Rocky River 53-24 to finish the day 2-0 in dual action. The Bucks controlled both matchups on the mat, with the majority of points surrendered coming by way of forfeits.

Against North Olmsted, Buckeye piled up bonus points to pull away in the team score. While North Olmsted capitalized on forfeits to stay on the board, the contested bouts largely tilted toward the Bucks, who consistently earned wins in live matches. The 51-24 final reflected Buckeye’s ability to convert opportunities into team points across the lineup.

Buckeye followed that performance with another convincing effort in a 53-24 win over Rocky River. As in the opening dual, the Bucks’ depth and balance showed through at multiple weight classes, and the team again offset any forfeited points with decisive victories on the mat. The back-to-back double-digit wins marked a strong statement in conference-style dual competition.

Several Bucks delivered standout efforts by going undefeated on the day. Going 2-0 for Buckeye were Jake Cekeda, Chase Geyer, Joe Stahl, Aiden Mangin, Carter Hershkowitz, Kaden Locker and Sawyer Davis, providing a reliable core that scored in both duals. Their performances at their respective weights helped swing momentum and secure key team points in each matchup.

Buckeye also received important contributions from wrestlers who had a single contested bout and made it count. Going 1-0 were Collin Bartos, Brenden McKee, Dan Leonard and Logan Letner, each adding a win to the team total in limited opportunities. Those victories helped widen the margin in the dual scores and underscored the depth of the Bucks’ lineup.

With a 2-0 record on the day and a long list of wrestlers posting perfect individual marks, Buckeye Men’s Wrestling carried significant momentum out of North Olmsted. The combination of bonus-point wins, consistent performances across weight classes and resilience despite forfeited points positioned the Bucks well as they continue through the heart of the winter schedule.
