Buckeye posted a 318 to finish second in the five-team Buckeye Cup on Wednesday in Medina, two shots behind champion Brunswick. Cam Morton led the Bucks with a 77, while Benjamin Lange followed with a 78 as Buckeye placed two golfers under 80.

Cam Morton made the turn with a 40 before closing with a 37, matching the lowest nine-hole score among Buckeye’s four counting rounds. Benjamin Lange produced a similar finish, following an opening 41 with a 37 to finish one shot behind Cam Morton.

Andy Kost added an 80 after opening with a team-best 37 and coming home in 43. Michael Valus rounded out the Bucks’ team total with an 83, improving from a 43 on the opening nine to a 40 on the closing side. Together, Buckeye’s four counting scores totaled 161 on the first nine and 157 on the second.

The Bucks also received a 91 from Wyatt Kujat, who shot 45-46, and a 107 from Ian Collins, who finished 51-56. Brunswick’s 316 secured the tournament title, while St. Ed’s finished third at 327. Highland (Medina) placed fourth with a 331, and Westlake completed the standings at 348.
