
The Buckeye cross country teams took on Division I and II competition at the Milt Place XC Festival in Medina. The boys earned an impressive top-10 finish out of 30 teams, led by junior Dimitry Pshonyak’s 18th-place run in 17:00. Senior Brady Salazar followed in 28th (17:10), with strong finishes from Nolan Rieth (48th, 17:35), Joe Stahl (94th, 18:24), and Gavin Waibel (110th, 18:32). The Bucks outpaced top county rivals Wadsworth and Highland to close out a strong day.
The girls team, running without top performer Sophia Regiec, still secured 23rd out of 35 teams. Freshman Hayleigh Kreeger led the way in 22:11 for 104th, followed by solid efforts from Shelby Skilskyj (112th, 22:30), Lily Regiec (123rd, 22:50), Lila Hoover (191st, 24:41), Kate Shearer (199th, 25:13), and Riley Onyx (205th, 25:49).
