The Bucks women’s bowling team claimed first place in the Lake Division at the NSBC Conference Tournament on Sunday in Lorain, rolling a 3,584 team total behind a string of high individual games and steady Baker play.

Buckeye was led by a standout series from Aubrey Reuter, who paced the lineup with games of 235, 188 and 215 for a tournament-best 638 series. Reuter’s opening 235 set the tone early, and her 215 closer helped the Bucks finish off the division title in the final individual game set. Her ability to adjust to the lane conditions and continue to post strong numbers anchored Buckeye’s scoring throughout the block.

Supporting Reuter at the top of the lineup was Riley Onyx, who turned in a consistent 560 series on games of 176, 193 and 191. Onyx’s middle game of 193 helped the Bucks solidify their position near the top of the standings as the tournament moved into its later stages. Leah Kaczmarski added important depth scoring with a 498 series (179-174-145), providing two strong early games that gave Buckeye a scoring cushion before the final individual game.

Rounding out the team scoring, Addison Fry posted a 493 series on games of 153, 156 and a clutch 184. Fry’s 184 came at a key moment late in the individual portion, helping to keep Buckeye’s total moving in the right direction as other teams tried to close the gap. LaRyssa Hartshorn contributed a 398 series (138-124-136), supplying needed pins from the fifth spot and helping the Bucks maintain balance across the lineup rather than relying on just one or two high scorers.

The Bucks continued their strong performance in Baker play, turning in games of 185, 125, 170, 165, 201 and 151. The 185 opener kept Buckeye on pace with the top of the field, and the 201 in the fifth Baker game proved to be one of the decisive stretches of the tournament, giving the team valuable separation in total pins. Even in the lower Baker totals, the Bucks avoided costly opens and stayed clean enough to protect the lead built during individual games.

With the 3,584 total and a first-place finish in the Lake Division, Buckeye set a strong standard as the season moves deeper into conference and postseason play. The combination of a high-end performance from Reuter, consistent support from Onyx, Kaczmarski, Fry and Hartshorn, and solid Baker execution highlighted the depth and resilience of the Bucks’ roster. The showing in Lorain provides momentum and a benchmark the team can look to build on in upcoming matches and tournaments.
