This week’s A Student Above honors go to two standout seniors from Buckeye cross country — Brady Salazar and Shelby Skilskyj.

Brady has been a varsity runner all four years, serving as a captain for the past two seasons. His leadership, consistency, and commitment to the sport helped guide the boys team to a historic season that included district, regional, and state competition. He also excels in the classroom, balancing academics and extracurriculars with the same focus he brings to the course.

Shelby capped off her senior year with a breakout season, setting multiple personal bests and qualifying for the regional meet for the first time. As a team captain and standout student, she’s been a positive influence and role model for her teammates.

Both Brady and Shelby embody what it means to be A Student Above — leaders, competitors, and examples of Buckeye pride on and off the course.
